Come and enjoy some of the best driving roads in NSW, on a 6 to 8 hour journey from Sydney to the Snowy Mountains ending up at a luxurious Thredbo Alpine Hotel.
Registration Cost: $50 per adult (this includes 2 course dinner on Saturday night) - Children free to register, however, their meals & other costs are additional.
The plan so far is:
- Saturday : Sydney to Thredbo, early drive meet Liverpool say 8.00am – Goulburn – Wakefield park – Tarago - Bungendore (Coffee stop ??) – Queanbeyan – Bredbo (possible lunch at Pancake shop??) - Cooma – Berridale – Dalgety - Jindabyne – Thredbo (about a 8 hr. drive incl. stops).
Thredbo Alpine Hotel – stay the Saturday & Sunday nights or longer if desired - Attendees have to arrange their own accommodation by booking directly with Hotel (SEE BELOW)
Saturday night have dinner at ‘Knickerbockers’ in Thredbo. An Austrian restaurant with great Bavarian food, wine & schnapps. A good fit with Porsche!!
Sunday (Option for those staying over) : After breakfast, drive the Alpine way to Khancoban (approx. 1 hr. drive on great roads) stopping there for a light/picnic lunch. (There is a round trip on great roads that takes about 2 hrs. from Khancoban to Cabramurra, Tooma & back to Khancoban). Return to Thredbo at your own pace & explore Thredbo walks, tennis or just relax around the pool/spa. B-B-Q Dinner at poolside of the hotel, a relaxed atmosphere with a few drinks.
Sunday & Monday (Option for those returning to Sydney): After breakfast head home via Berridale with a possible stop for lunch at say Lake George winery. Home in Sydney by approx. 6.00pm.
