2024 Mid-Week Winter Tour 2

June 30 - July 5, 2024

For the winter of 2024 we have organised a week of touring in New South Wales and a bit of the ACT. Starting with a welcome, meet & greet on Sunday night in Kiama, we will then travel on Monday to Canberra, thence to Orange for two nights and a rest day, followed by Tamworth before our final destination in the Hunter Valley. That is six nights of accommodation, four days of great country driving and one rest day. Group dinners are planned for all six nights in the venues we stay.

Three separate tours are scheduled. They are well-spaced to allow the opportunity to undertake one of the Club driving & gastronomic tours as well as possible other trips you may have planned for our next winter – overseas or local. We have managed to avoid public and school holidays and our Club meeting nights.

After an average of about five and a half hours of actual driving each day (some a little less, some a little more) plus various pit stops along the way, our planned notes and route have us arriving at our new venues each drive day at around 3.30pm, - so plenty of time to relax before the night’s gathering at the bar, tell tall tales & enjoy a sumptuous dinner.

We have limited each tour to 25 rooms / 50 people. So that means, overall, that up to 150 members can participate. In respect of accommodation venues, meals and drive route, each tour will basically be identical, unless late changes are necessary. Members can choose which of the tours they would prefer but can only register for one.

The cost to members when registering is for the six dinners and ancillary costs. Once registered on the Club’s on-line system and your payment is received, we will advise you of the venues’ rates and booking codes for you to make your own accommodation reservations. We suggest booking immediately you receive the booking details to avoid disappointment as the venues are only holding rooms for a short time.

This event is restricted to members who intend to undertake the whole event and is also restricted to Porsche vehicles only.

The Price to register with the Club for the event is $650 per person. 

Our selected venues have provided packages that include breakfast and parking, plus have their own specific procedures for members to make accommodation reservations. PLEASE, do not attempt to make your reservation by any other method.

Our estimate of your combined accommodation, breakfast and parking costs, for you to pay direct to the venues, is approx’ $1,860 per couple/ $1,720 single. Venues may offer accommodation upgrade options.
