A NICE DRIVE , A BIT OF SCENERY & A NICE LUNCH VENUE
RICHMOND – WARRAGAMBA – BURRAGORANG MENANGLE HOUSE HORSE & JOCKEY INN
Let’s meet for a coffee and maybe breakfast in the main street of Richmond (Windsor Rd) next to Richmond Park. Meet at 8.00 – 8.30am for a 9.00AM getaway.
About an hour’s drive to Warragamba Dam for about a half hour stop to view the new Visitors Centre and dam works. It would be interesting to see it full after all the rain we have had.
From there we drive for about 40kms onto the back end of Warragamba Dam to Burragorang Lookout for quick look at the Warragamba catchment area.
Then about 50kms of more fabulous winding county roads on to the ‘Horse & Jockey Inn’ at Menangle Park for a relaxing lunch of your choice and budget. www.menanglehouse.com.au
All in all some 140km of mostly empty country roads with a selection of great curves and bends some of which 100km/h is still permitted.
