Sutherland LAC's major community engagement event and road safety initiative named "Sutho Cops & Rodders Road Safety & Car Show" is now in its 3rd year.

On Sunday 10 November 2013, the event will be held at Boys'Town Playing Fields, Woronora Rd, Engadine. Entry for car exhibitors will be via Banksia Ave. The event is scheduled to be held between 9am and 4pm.

Entry is only by by using this form.
Unfortunately due to high demand, the number of car exhibitors is capped at 500 this year and all cars MUST be pre-registered.

All forms and payments MUST be made by Friday 25 October 2013 by posting your completed & signed entry form together to:
Sutherland Police Station, Attn: Dave Hayes, 113 - 121 Flora St, Sutherland, NSW, 2232

The aim of the event is to reduce road trauma through the promotion of safe driving utilising displays of exhibits, which demonstrates the impact this has on our family, friends and the community alike.

The Sutho Cops & Rodders Road Safety & Car Show committee are seeking organisations to help support our cause, where all surplus monies raised will be given to our major beneficiary, CareFlight.

The committee can announce confirmation attendances by V8 Supercar drivers Alex Davison and Warren Luff, V8 Utes driver, Andrew Fisher and Carrera Cup driver, Steven Richards, with other several special guests. Patrons can experience "life in the fast lane", in Australia's only V8 Supercar simulator and Shannon's Insurance Super Rig.

The Emergency Services will be displaying a demonstration involving real people in 'real' scenario's, where motorists will have 'real' injuries in a mock extrication rescue. The CareFlight helicopter will land and open their doors for the public to view how patients are transported.

Entertainment will be provided by our headline act 'Schlam' and 'Dirty Deeds', Sutherland PCYC Concert Band and St George & Sutherland Shire Pipe Band. The RAAF Military Dog Unit will again be 'flying' through the "Rings of Fire" and over obstacles.

Unfortunately due to high demand, the number of car exhibitors is capped at 500 this year and MUST be pre-registered. The event is purely a first in, first served basis. All car entrants will receive a goody bag and a free raffle ticket toward our monster raffle. Last year, we gave away near $14,000 worth of prizes!!

This is just a taste of what is installed for the 2013 event, with a lot more activities and attendees to be confirmed. Please find below the synopsis of last years event:

The 2nd annual running of the event attracted a crowd of around 25,000 patrons, along with International and National media attention, including Live broadcast, documentaries, radio interviews, publications and newsprint. The event further attracted 478 car exhibitors ranging from 1916 Hot Rods to current 2012 models.
